Journey Preschool

Journey Preschool has been a ministry of the First Methodist Church in Harlingen for over 30 years. Our mission is to provide excellent childcare and education in a nurturing, Christ-centered environment.


We encourage learning through play while a child's feeling of self-worth and regard for others is placed above achievement. Classes are offered for Infants & children ages 18 months to 4 years of age. JPS prides itself on being able to provide small classroom sizes in a cozy and secure school setting. Journey Preschool is pleased to offer extracurricular activities during the school day for interested parents. These activities are hosted at JPS & coordinated by each visiting instructor. Sign-up forms are available by the main office.

Our newly remodeled library offers a great selection of books that the children can read and checkout. 


Chapel days with Mr. Juan C. are filled with fun music and Bible story time with church pastoral staff. Every Thursday at 10 a.m.


We love to celebrate special occasions and have fun events throughout the year such as:
