Worship SERVICE information

First time to First Methodist Harlingen? We are a 100-year old church, have pretty stained glass windows, and some great people...but don't be intimidated. Come as you are. You are as likely to find folks dressed in shorts and flip-flops as you are to see them in coats and ties. We look forward to meeting you and joining us for worship!


Holy Communion is offered on the first Sunday of each month. All are welcome to receive. 


Sunday Worship Schedule: 

  • 9:00 AM - Traditional Service
  • 10:00 AM - Sunday School - Adults, Youth, & Children
  • 11:00 AM - Contemporary Service

Nursery is available during all services up to age 5.


Real Kids is for ages Kindergarten through 5th grade is during the 11 am service.


Listening devices are available, please ask an usher if you would like one.

  • traditional service - 9:00 am

    A casual traditional service filled with a great message along with old familiar hymns, the Apostle's Creed, Doxology, and the Gloria Patri. Feel free to wear a suit or shorts and sandals.  We would just love to have you join us.  

  • contemporary service - 11:00 am

    A celebration service filled with up-beat, contemporary worship music led by very talented musicians, a children's time, and prayer.  There is a brief children's message in the beginning and then they are released to Real Kids for the duration of the service.
